My friend at work, Mr. T who has been working for more than 25 years found out he has covid-19 and what do the bosses do? Send him away, and get everyone to test regardless they had or did not have close contact with him. It's part of the SOP that we have when the team members are infected with covid-19.
I have known him to be a dedicated worker to the company. With a heavy heart, I texted him just making sure that he knows that I will be looking after those jobs he has planned for the week, and wishing him the very best in keeping his mindset positive, don't give up, and telling him to reach out if he ever needs help. Such a mind blowing outlook of covid-19 did leave him in shock and restlessness when being told of his PCR results.
Being down and beat up is not the way to confronting this. He has been made aware of all possible interactions he had with friends and families. His character shines through during these trying times. I prayed I have his courageousness, positivity, and the spirit to never give up.
